Bethouard: "The perfume had to capture the radiance, light and splendor of a multi-faceted jewel.".
And indeed, the fragrance is multi-faceted like a diamond: an amber floral, haloed with mandarin and orange blossom, an opulent heart of white flowers – jasmine, ylang ylang, tuberose – and drops of amber and vanilla in the velvety base.
And what else could the bottle be but a ring…? Inspired by the archives of special orders, the glass craftsmen took up the challenge of creating a "olfactory jewelery adornment», realizing an imaginary rock crystal ring, adorned with gold and set with a blue sapphire cabochon.
In a rather wondrous sleight of hand, Boucheron customers flocked to Place Vendôme to buy the real version of the “jewel bottle”; it didn't exist - but Boucheron quickly brought that to life too.
During the subsequent launch of the Boucheron BraceletJaipur, this sparkling floral is called nauratan - which is considered a lucky charm in Rajasthan. We saw Place Vendôme – named after the square itself – which echoes the philosophy of Frédéric Boucheron: “Our purpose is to create emotion".
Nathalie Lorson and Olivier Cresp have done just that with this sparkling and voluptuous floriental woody fragrance.
Fouris a modern interpretation of the famous Boucheron collection of stackable earrings, rings and bracelets of the same name.
The design of the bottle? Ultra-modern, an interplay of materials and techniques, based on yellow, white and pink gold (echoed in the bottle cap).
The perfume ? Bursting with powdery roses, sensual musks, delivering a soft veil of cedar, the creation of a talented duo composed of Antoine Maisondieu and Nadège Le Gar.
